A LUVERLY SATURDAY EVENING

Hello People,
What a luverly Saturday evening it is...... I know our country's going down the pan at the moment along with most of the rest of the 'civilised' world, but one thing I do look forward too is the long lazy British summer evenings. You across the pond, may scorn and say what summers? But yep, we do get em and when we finally do, they are wonderfull!
Imagine sitting out untill 10.30 at night and the sun is still going down. If you live in Scotland, it's even later.
So this evening, it's 19.25 here now, I'm sitting in my garden with a chilled glass of wine, writing this load of old cods wallop, hoping someone, some where, will read and comment lolololol.

The planet suite by Gustav Holst in on the old docking station and it's bliss! Oh and did I tell you the man's working this evening? Well, he is.
As much as I love him, it's getting a trifle tedious talking about the skies 24/7 and for those of you that know him, know he can tend to repeat his stories, but then I put that down to age. I, this morning stood in the kitchen with a pint of milk in my hand looking for it everywhere not knowing I was clutching it in my fingers....... FKN SCARY, let me tell yas!!

Tomorrow its supposed to be 24 degrees and we are off to the inland waterways show at Crick. I think this is the first year it aint pissed down with rain for a change, but seeing as we're having a bank holiday this weekend, it's par for the course.

Oh well, off to top up my glass and read a few blogs.

Love yas, PP xxxxxxx

Hi Gaz,
I know exactly what you mean: You have great summers and -- an evening on the inland waterways sounds terrific. I once visited a friend who had a condo on the waterways in one of those converted factories and it was terrific just sitting on the balcony, watching the world go by. As for forgetfulness, join the club. Last week when I got back from Taipei, I must have been so tired I just fell asleep without changing out of my jeans. I thought I would "just rest my eyes." I woke up the next morning looking all over the place for my jeans only to discover, to my horror, that I was wearing them!
Best,
Marty

Sounds like an absolutely enchanting evening dear friend.

If Phil is regaling you with tales of the Sky it's simply because he's enjoying his job and THAT is a good thing. (Hugs)Indigo

Yup, lovely weather today - had my first bbq of the year. It made me remember the annual bbq's we used to have at campbell heights :)

Hey. Gaz,
Garden sounds great except if you have allergies. Like me! As far as forgetfulness as you heard,"Join the club." I don't use my brain a lot when I'm not in school so by June I forget virtually everything. It's a miracle I can find my way home as a matter of fact.

My dear, I'm so honored you enjoyed my latest w/a perfectly chilled glass of vino in the garden, inhaling balmy nite air. I'm taking to doing the same of late, it's very relaxing! Tried this "Arbor Mist" white zinfandel - very friendly drink. And speaking of perfect evenings, we had the same here Saturday nite (it's almost 2 a.m. now, EST so it's actually Sunday) but I couldn't resist getting out and walking in the breezy bliss. :-} Hope it lasts!

Yesterday was sooooo nice!! What wonderful weather we are having this weekend! I am getting a bit forgetful myself. I lose my glasses all the time only to discover them on top of my head. DOH!! I think it happens to us all eventually!
love you loads!

I did the same for a while it was so nice, and the peace and quiet even better the only difference was that I had a bottle. As with the milk I'm always doing stuff like that turn the whole house over looking for something and it's right there...lol, glad to hear Phil is enjoying the new job.
Have a good day today.

Take care

Summer-Yeah! My move to Florida and all I can talk about is how beautiful everything is. The weather, the sound of ocean waves, the Palm trees, the clouds(very different than WI clouds) and the sunsets are to die for. Is itt our age that we enjoy this so much? Whatever...I love it!
Glad to hear you are so happy and enjoying life! xoxo Tracy
